The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in inpatient or outpatient medical coding.Key Responsibilities:– Reviewing patient medical records to accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes according to ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.– Ensuring coding compliance with federal regulations and facility policies.– Collaborating with healthcare providers and other staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.– Meeting productivity and accuracy standards set by the department.– Participating in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives as needed.Requirements:– Minimum of two years of inpatient or outpatient medical coding experience.– Proficiency in assigning ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes.– CCS, CPC, or CIC certification required– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.– Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Expected salary: $33 – 43 per hour
