The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.Position OverviewPantheon-data is seeking a highly skilled senior AWS Data Integration Developer to lead the transition of critical legacy systems from on-premises environments to AWS GovCloud. This role demands expertise in integrating a diverse set of legacy enterprise applications, including Java applications, .NET/C# applications, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, and legacy databases with modern data warehouse solutions and cloud-based storage within the AWS GovCloud framework. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, efficient, and compliant data integration using APIs, cloud data brokers, and other modern integration technologies, tailored to meet the stringent requirements of our defense federal clients.Responsibilities
- Data Integration Strategy and Implementation: Develop comprehensive data integration strategies to ensure seamless and secure data flow between on-premises systems and AWS GovCloud.
- Implement integration solutions: Implement complex integration using APIs, cloud data brokers, AWS data services, and custom ETL processes.
- API Management and Integration: Design and develop API-based integration solutions to connect disparate systems and data sources securely. Manage API lifecycle from creation to deprecation, ensuring robust access controls and monitoring are in place.
- Cloud Data Brokerage: Utilize cloud data brokers to facilitate data exchange and integration across various cloud services and platforms, enhancing the interoperability of data systems within AWS GovCloud.
- Cloud Data Warehousing: Leverage advanced AWS data services such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, and other AWS storage solutions to architect scalable data warehousing solutions that support advanced analytics and compliance requirements.
- Legacy System Analysis: Analyze existing legacy systems for data extraction points, assess data formats, and understand integration requirements. Develop migration plans that minimize operational disruption and ensure data integrity.
- Security and Compliance Adherence: Ensure all data integration practices comply with federal data security and privacy regulations. Implement comprehensive data governance and quality frameworks to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cloud architects, software developers, and project managers. Provide mentorship to junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Technology Advancement: Keep abreast of the latest in cloud computing, data integration, and API technologies. Recommend technological enhancements to improve system efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and data quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data integration, with extensive experience in API development, cloud data brokerage, and large-scale data migrations to cloud environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Java, .NET/C#, SQL, API management tools, and integration of COTS products. Profound knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, Redshift, S3, and AWS Glue.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and managing APIs, including RESTful services, to facilitate efficient data integration across systems.
- Knowledge of API management platforms and understanding of API security best practices.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka, that can integrate with cloud environments.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and use ETL tools to handle large datasets efficiently.
- In-depth knowledge of federal data security standards, such as FedRAMP and FISMA, applicable within AWS GovCloud.
- Experience with data encryption, secure data transfer, and secure data storage methods.
- Advanced AWS Certification (AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
