Under the direction of the Sr. Product Design Manager, this role is responsible for partnering with our business leaders, consultants, and agile teams to ensure the voice of the customer is translated into meaningful, accessible, and easy-to-use capabilities. This role will collaborate closely with product owners, product specialists, engineers, and other designers/researchers to ensure the successful implementation of product design strategies.A successful candidate should:Exhibit passion for creating innovative products and delivering an efficient and graceful experience for usersBe a good communicator who builds strong relationships and partnerships focusing on collaboration, building consensus, and driving design through influence.Be an analytical thinker with a desire and ability to develop and document a deep understanding of users’ needs and behaviors across multiple customer segments and environments.Create compelling digital experiences that bring value to our customers’ operations and make it easy to partner with Cencora.Mentor, coach, and pair with junior designers to support their development and continuous progress.Bring to the table each day a positive attitude, a true “team” spirit, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to display sound decision-making under pressure.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create seamless user experiences optimized for delivery across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and usability.Drive design efforts by understanding user needs deeply and translating these insights into effective product strategies and engaging user experiences.Translate complex business requirements and user needs into technically feasible workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and intuitive user interfaces.Work closely with partner teams through brainstorming sessions and prototyping to help define clear product requirements.Design, build, and test ideas that challenge the status quo and deliver high-quality user experiences that raise the bar in terms of innovation, simplicity, and consistency.Partner with researchers, designers, product owners, engineers, and other cross-functional team members to drive design decisions aligned with project goals.What your background should look likeBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.Six (6) or more years of experience in digital product design for both web and mobile platforms.Strong skills in product design strategy, including user research, personas, customer journeys, design thinking, ideation, sketching, prototyping, and concept validation.Experience designing accessible graphic user interfaces for complex applications and familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA Standards.Experience creating, maintaining, and utilizing design systems.Experience conducting user research and testing and the ability to analyze, synthesize, and present research findings.Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web languages to collaborate effectively with engineers during the design process.Strong presentation, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Strong presence, including the ability to partner with and effectively influence product and engineer leadersSkilled at communicating verbally and in writing to diverse audiencesProactive self-starter; assertive and able to ensure that Product Design principles are adhered toStrong prioritization skills and ability to quickly re-prioritize in a dynamic environmentAnalytical mindset and creativity to balance detailed problem solving with a ‘big picture’ strategic viewWhat Cencora offersWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members’ ability to live with purpose every day. The actual range may vary based on your locale.
