Job description: How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:Candidates residing in the following states can be considered for remote work: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia.Leads and takes responsibility for building the skills, competencies and processes necessary within HR to deliver workforce intelligence. This includes standardizing how workforce data is used to drive decisions and linking workforce data to business results to ensure Carilion is a great place to work. Responsible for providing HR metrics, analysis, survey results, data visualizations and consulting to all levels of the organization. Connects analyses and leverages insights across cross-functional teams. Focuses on narratives and proactive insights that help drive prioritization and strategic planning.

  • Can perform all job duties of department’s HR Analytics Analyst, HR Analytics Consultant roles plus:
  • Technical Skills & Expertise: Must possess advanced knowledge of Excel/Power BI and other reporting/analysis tools (R, SPSS, etc.) including complex statistical analyses and predictive modeling. Proactively drives change in how business users approach analytical problems, improving their analyses and visualizations. Holds HR Analytics teammates to high-quality standards. Identifies unmet data needs and work with data IT/HR Systems teams to fill them, acting as the project manager from ideation to completion.
  • Analysis & Business Acumen: Understands a specific area of the business or data topic better than anyone else, is an expert in their domain. Is sought out for strategic advice or input, based on their expertise. Can develop an executive-ready analysis project, report or presentation with little instruction. Defines organizational-level KPIs.
  • Operational & Team Skills: Understands team priorities and proactively identifies when work queues need to be adjusted to match team priorities.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Is an effective communicator, demonstrates ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the company. Sought out as a subject matter expert for cross-team projects; may service as project leader.
  • Content Expertise. Continuously develops advanced knowledge in designated Center of Expertise (COE), as well as maintains a thorough working knowledge of other HR areas, HR initiatives and broader organizational priorities.
  • Project Management. Participates on, and may lead, complex strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Product/Service Development. Uses expert knowledge to anticipate needs of colleagues and proactively develop products/solutions to meet those needs.
  • Consulting. Role models the consulting processes during all interactions and mentors HR peers in understanding and effective utilization.
  • Business Management. Develops, maintains and nurtures working relationships with other COEs, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, colleagues and external customers/vendors.
  • Culture/Change Agents. Serves as a culture and change management champion.
  • Mentoring. Oversees the work and effectiveness of the COE and has primary accountability for the team to the HR Manager/HR Director of the COE.

What We Require:Education: Master’s degree in quantitative field (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Organizational Behavior or other related fields).Experience: Five (5) years of directly-related experience in specialized area required.Licensure, certification, and/or registration: PHR, SPHR or other approved HR certification preferred.Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
