Job description: What you can expectAs an Audio AI Engineer in San Jose, you’ll develop machine learning models to enhance audio quality in Zoom Meeting and other products. Key focus areas include Noise Suppression, Speaker Recognition, Voice Activity Detection. This position encompasses both audio research and software development. This person will partner closely with our global audio engineers to test and deploy machine learning models.About the TeamZoom’s Audio team develops real-time audio features based on AI algorithms. Members of the team are spread worldwide, including the U.S., China and Singapore.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and implementing machine learning models on front end audio tasks to improve audio quality in Zoom’s online meeting (e.g. Noise Suppression, Voice Activity Detection, Speaker Recognition)Working on Audio data analysis for continuous development and enhancement effortAdapting machine learning and neural network algorithms and architectures to best fit the real-timerequirementPartnering closely with other audio engineers to test and deploy machine learning modelWhat we’re looking for
- Have 3+ years of work experience in Machine Learning or Ph.D in Machine Learning or digital signal processing
Have hands-on experience in speech enhancement, including Noise Suppression, Voice Activity Detection, Speaker Recognition, Echo CancellationHave hands-on experience in deep learning model optimization like quantization, neural architecture search, pruningExperience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, C/C++ or JavaDemonstrate familiarity with one or more deep learning tool (e.g. Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch)Possess enthusiasm about applying Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence Algorithms toAudio/DSP-related tasks.Have the ability to communicate in MandarinSalary Range or On Target Earnings:Minimum: $102,900.00Maximum: $205,800.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locationsAt Zoom, we offer a window of at least 5 days for you to apply because we believe in giving you every opportunity.
