Overview:GitHub is looking for a Sr. Application Product Analyst to join our IT People Systems team. This remote role will primarily focus on delivering Core HCM functionality and experiences via Workday.The RoleGitHub is the gateway for software development. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of IT People Systems.Our team optimizes global people processes, from problem definition to execution. We partner with teams across the organization bringing innovation and technology to the way we attract, retain and grow Hubbers worldwide. We focus on providing an amazing experience to past, present and future Hubbers, and work in GitHub’s fast-paced environment to deliver numerous global operational services and programs that enable GitHub to manage their Workforce. Regardless of location or level of experience, members of the IT People Systems team have the opportunity to create, develop and implement critical operations and programs that impact our global workforce. We are passionate about always making the user experience positive and unwilling to allow product challenges to impact users negatively.The ideal candidate will help administer, implement, and optimize our HR systems tech stack, and assist with business process designs, architecture, system implementations, change management, training, and compliance. We are ever-evolving and improving so you will be on the lookout for ways to enhance our internal processes and architecture. You’ll partner with other teams here at GitHub, such as HR Services, Learning and Development, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Engineering to transform their challenges into systems-driven solutions. You’ll partner with these stakeholders to understand, represent and lead the “voice of the customer” in identifying and prioritizing functionality enhancements, including international users. Training and documentation is key, and you can expect to be educating Hubbers both one on one and in groups on how to use our HR systems offerings. You should be equally comfortable configuring and with providing excellent customer service. And equally important, putting users at the center of ideation, design, and execution while thinking big picture. Responsibilities:Support break/fixes and enhancementsAdminister, design, and scale our HR systems technology, primarily WorkdayAssist with administration of Performance Management Systems, Benefits Systems, and other People SystemsBuild cross-functional partnerships in order to translate business requirements into systems-driven solutionsSupport various modules within Workday, HCM, Benefits, Onboarding, and Core/Advanced CompensationSupport continuous improvement and optimization of existing systems and programsDocument end-to-end business processes, maintain best practices, procedures, and controlsMaintain professional knowledge and skills relating to security, compliance, technology, and best practices and make recommendations for process or service improvements Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field
- o OR Bachelor’s Degree in related field AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field
2+ years experience doing systems and infrastructure, business systems analysis, product, applications, or other related roles1+ year of experience in product and configuration surrounding Workday Core HCM2+ years experience in business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, business-related roles, or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Experience implementing, configuring, or consulting on an enterprise Saas HCM SystemMaster data managementStrong customer focus and change management skills and ability to find the best solution, taking into account conflicting priorities and needsStrong documentation skills (BRDs, DFDs, TDDs) & demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business systems requirements for HRDemonstrated working ability and skills in configuring and/or supporting global initiatives and/or programs such as Workforce Planning/Position Management, Rewards and Recognition, Open Enrollment, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition or Operations.Demonstrated experience with business process analysis and business process improvement Compensation Range: The base salary range for this job is USD $79,500.00 – USD $210,700.00 /Yr.These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual’s base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
