The company comprises businesses across a range of media, including: news andinformation services, book publishing, digital real estate services, cable network programming inAustralia and pay-TV distribution in Australia.**Hybrid Role – 3 days in office 2 remote****About the team:**The HR Insights Analyst is a key member of a team responsible for assessing HR data andproviding insight to HR stakeholders (BU and regional): HR teams, line managers, all functionalteams, and executives across the News Corp network. Collectively, The Sr Director, HR DataAnalytics team builds and delivers subject matter expertise on:● Reporting management and servicing various stakeholders both globally and regionally● Data analytics, to include descriptive and inferential statistics, modeling, time-seriesanalyses● Data visualization● HR master data management● Data maintenance and security● Market trends pertaining to analytic and reporting tools needed for HR**About the role:**Reporting into the Sr Director, HR Data and Analytics, the HR Insights Analyst is responsiblefor:● Deriving insights from a variety of HR data sources including the human resourceinformation system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exitinterviews, government labor statistics, industry practices, and other sources.● Analyzing data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiringpractices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.● Preparing reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.● Identifying and recommending reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, andbenchmarks for key performance metrics.● Interpreting, understanding, and presenting results to clients, with a strong focus onactionable insights● Making recommendations based on metrics and analysis for policies and activities toadvance HR functional and organizational interests including suggestions to attract andhire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffingchallenges, and meet evolving legal and regulatory needs. .● Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.● Partnering with Sr. Stakeholders to understand evolving reporting needs and drive therequirements for optimal dashboard and reporting tool usage● Helping stakeholders navigate, interpret, and understand HR data models, self-servicereporting options, and how to read data visualizations.● Driving consistent data usage and quality of results. Ensuring that the centralized HRIS(Workday) remains the source of truth● Supporting process improvement & project initiatives● Driving enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improveeffectiveness of function● Communicating effectively to the leadership team, escalating as necessary.**Qualifications:**● Hands-on experience with various analytical and business intelligence tools like GoogleBig Query, Tableau, Ascend, Alteryx, Python, R, etc.● Ability to present to, facilitate, and influence senior stakeholders● Deep understanding of all HR functions, with particular knowledge of how they differ intheir data structure and environments● Strong analytical skills required to be able to proactively problem solve, assess, andmake recommendations● Ability to prioritize multiple complex demands on their time in addition to those impactingteam resources● Strong internal consulting skills, with ability to champion and influence change● Excellent customer service skills including active listening and translating client needs.● Time management skills and ability to stay organized● Strong business acumen● Flexible and intellectually curious with ability to work in a fast paced and entrepreneurialenvironment● Proactive thinker● Able to manage ambiguity● Ability to plan and execute projects● Experience working with contemporary HR Technology platforms is preferred (e.g.Workday, ServiceNow)● 2-3 years HR Data & Analytic experience, preferably in a large scale organizationJob Category:Pay Range: 65,000 – 85,000We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
