The Intelligent Automation (IA) Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing automated systems for all aspects of product development lifecycle, including design, validation, manufacturing, and quality control. The IA senior software engineer will work closely with other engineers to develop solutions in the areas of computer vision, robotics, machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence. This position will also support the integration of these systems into existing business processes such as ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, etc.Responsibilities:Work on projects involving machine learning/AI, computer vision, image processing, robotics, automation, or similar technologiesDevelop scalable and maintainable applications using modern tools and frameworksImplement software solutions for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangiblesApply concepts and principles beyond standard practicesLead teams by providing advice and guidance to more junior team membersContribute to technical decisions within the project teamIndependently determine and deliver against project prioritiesCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiencesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of relevant engineering experienceExperience working in medical device industry preferredExperience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.Strong knowledge of Python programming languageExperience with robotics, automation equipment, and PLCsWorking knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databasesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to lead cross-functional teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteFor certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
