Job description: Job Description:Curriculum DeveloperAs required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.The Developer shall assist the Joint Trauma Education and Training (JTET) Director and Chief, JTS in developing, administering and overseeing the JTS’ continuing education programs. Makes recommendations to JTET Director on improving the continuing education programs and contributes to policy and planning making decisions. Identifies guest speakers who are subject matter experts for JTS conferences and calls.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for Curriculum Developer: $60,000 – $70,000Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Curriculum Developer Responsibilities Include:· Assist the JTED Director, JTS in developing, administering and overseeing the JTS’ continuing education programs.· Makes recommendations to JTED Director on improving the continuing education programs and contributes to policy and planning making decisions.· Identifies guest speakers who are subject matter experts for JTS conferences and calls.· Functions as a liaison between the JTED Director and JTS staff to facilitate faculty reviews, assess staffing educational needs, preserve academic standards and generally improve the JTS’s educational programs.· Directs, supports, and plans all aspects of the institutions continuing education curriculum. Designs and implements educational programs directed at members of the organization or the public. Ensures that the curriculum remains current and compliant with accreditation standards.· Develops, coordinates, and Oversees various Joint Trauma Systems educational programs for various services IAW with all mandated Department of Defense Issuances (DoDI).· Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with various trauma working groups and committees across all the services to ensure all educational materials are up to date an inline will all organizational guidance.· Prepares and reviews lesson plans and course curriculum for training at an organizational level.· Provides quality standardized instruction in a variety of environments, which included but was not limited to classroom, laboratory, clinical and field instruction.· Possesses a certified knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of Emergency Medical Management education in both the clinical and field setting.· Organized, interpreted, and presented course materials to give expression of the abstract principles and concepts associated with combat/emergency medicine.· Use computer based material and devices to enhance training outcomes developing and maintaining current lesson plans with handbooks, study guides, and testing material· Utilize up to date course guidelines in accordance with the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) curriculum and the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3)· Continuously assess all training and educational programs making sure content is up to date and meets the training needs of customer.· Coordinates and serves as a liaison for the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC).· Adjust curriculum and guidance as needed due to the ever-changing mission.· Develop all Training Requirements Analysis and supporting documentation, to include Critical Task Lists (CTL) based on job analysis and Course Management Plans (CMP).· Utilize instructional systems strategies that include blended learning, Bloom’s taxonomy, and the Experiential learning Model to develop learner centric curriculum.· Validate new and existing course curriculum for the effectiveness of instructional materials and measurements devices through the application of total quality management concepts.· Apply the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) process to ensure Armed Forces combat casualty care personnel maintain readiness and are able to be deployed rapidly for future armed conflicts.· Validate new and existing course curriculum for the effectiveness of instructional materials and measurements devices through the application of total quality management concepts.· Function as a liaison between the JTED Director and JTS staff to facilitate faculty reviews, assess staffing educational needs, preserve academic standards and generally improve the JTS’s educational programs.· Direct, support and plan all aspects of the institution’s continuing education curriculum.· Design and implement educational programs directed at members of the organization or the public. Ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards.· Collaborate with Defense Health Agency (DHA) leadership and Secretaries of the MILDEPs to develop combat casualty care instruction for all members of the Armed Forces, to include standardized curricula, guidelines and training tools.· Provide technical support for the Joint Trauma Systems Deployed Medicine app allowing students to access the most up to date guidance on a web based platform on their smart phone or tablet.· Provide content and all educational products on Deployed Medicine enhancing distance learning and increasing the reach of the Joint Trauma Systems distributed learning.· Manage and update the Deployed Medicine Website content and curriculum.· Manage, train and coordinate all training sites through the Deployed Medicine Trainer Portal.· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Curriculum Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:· Bachelor’s degree in education preferred.· Previous experience as an Instructional System Specialist preferred.· 1-2 years professional experience in leadership and higher education specifically in the areas of course development.· Documented curriculum development experience.· Demonstrated experience in the design, development and conduct of military training programs specifically in the areas related to military medicine.· Knowledge of military education, training, and readiness· Knowledge of Tactical Combat Casualty Care courses· Knowledge of the principles and applications in Tactical Combat Casualty Care· Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.Company Information:Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
