Growing together.The Power BI Developer role is to support the needs of the Value Analytics team through the design/development of Power BI dashboards. The developer will be developing dashboards as per business needs. Additionally, a focus of this role includes, but is not limited to, development of SQL code, stored procedures, SSIS for the use in our Power BI dashboards.The ideal candidate will be able to multitask independently across the entire development cycle in addition to performing data analytics. The developer will collect informal requirements from the business users, prototype functions, discuss design options with the business leads and build the dashboards in a rapid-development nimble environment. The individual will also be expected to be an insightful innovator of new processes and methodologies.The individual must possess a diverse technical toolbox with a deep desire to learn new technologies and methodologies.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop complicated Power BI Dashboards that will be used by hundreds of users
- Ownership and understanding of the analytics systems and processes is a must
- Collect and document system requirements from end-users
- Develop and design tools, reports, processes, and dashboards using technologies in house or other necessary technologies
- Innovate and create new efficiencies to be used in analytics
- Build reports and automations for internal and external use
- Understand the various sources of data needed to support the environment
- Ability to use and learn new technologies that will serve the business
- Analyze data generated in the systems and help create reports for the business users of the systems
- Must be able to work with limited direction and oversight. Self-motivation and self-QA of models is key
- Must have the ability to analytically and logically think through questions and to isolate key issues
- Must have the ability to connect the dots in determining how all processes and data are connected
- Must have ability to effectively communication and presentation skills
- Must be a self-starter, a fast learner, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently

- 1+ years of experience with Power BI development
- 1+ years of complex SQL querying, stored procedure development and data analysis using SQL
- Experience working with leadership teams to build and develop actionable insights (i.e. analytics/reports, dashboards and other visualizations)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven logical thinking skills with ability to create complex queries to test and validate data
- Proven ability to take ownership of processes with little supervision
- Experience in SSIS
- Experience in SSRS
- Healthcare experience

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
