Our Benefits Verification Specialist is responsible for performing online eligibility and benefit checks for applicable payers as outlined in the guidelines. You will also be required to call insurance companies directly to obtain required eligibility and benefits for all managed care, government, and commercial payers.Key Responsibilities:
- Performing online eligibility and benefit checks for applicable payers
- Calling insurance companies directly to obtain required eligibility and benefits for all managed care, government, and commercial payers
- Processing accounts according to performance standards – timing, volume, and quality
- Contacting referral sources to obtain additional information that is required to complete the verification of benefits
- Providing exceptional customer service to external and internal customers, resolving any customer requests in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications in this role include, but are not limited to:
- High School Diploma Required. Associate Degree or Higher preferred.
- Minimum one year of insurance verification experience
- At least 1 year of experience applying knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement guidelines
- Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm CST
