The role will focus on utilizing AI and machine learning to optimize processes, enhance decision-making, and improve efficiency. This position requires a strong command of both model development and deployment processes, including the use of Azure cloud solutions, Elastic/OpenSearch for data indexing and monitoring, and generative AI for innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach to effectively build and scale data solutions across the organization.Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end projects with a focus on managing large, complex data sets and optimizing data flow between systems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and design data models that support efficient data organization and access.
- Develop, evaluate, and fine-tune advanced predictive models and simulations using Python, Keras, TensorFlow, and similar libraries.
- Build scalable ETL processes using Apache Kafka, Airflow, and Python to ensure smooth data pipeline operations.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain machine learning models on Azure and other cloud platforms to drive actionable insights.
- Set up machine learning-driven anomaly detection and dynamic filtering within OpenSearch (ElasticSearch) for real-time log and metric analysis.
- Conduct proof-of-concept research in generative AI and leverage large language models to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and software development teams to ensure smooth model integration and address scalability challenges.
- Stay up to date with emerging tools, such as OpenSearch, Elastic, and Azure Machine Learning, to ensure best practices in data engineering and AI deployment.
- Provide clear presentations, documentation, and reports that translate complex analytics into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data science and data engineering roles, including hands-on experience with data modeling and pipeline architecture.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Python and relevant ML libraries such as Keras and TensorFlow; experience with data engineering tools like Apache Kafka, Airflow, and database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data structures.
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch for real-time data indexing, search, and anomaly detection.
- Experience with Azure cloud solutions, including data storage, compute resources, and AI/ML services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting and collaboration.
Preferred
- Experience in deploying machine learning models and creating predictive analytics workflows in Azure or AWS environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana for infrastructure monitoring.
- Familiarity with GenAI and large language models for enhancing automation and data processing.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform or similar tools.
