Job description: Job Title: Distribution DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Distribution Designer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This position involves on-site work at Duke, where you will interact with various electric utility disciplines. Your responsibilities will include field inspections, engineering design work, and calculations. You will coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and third-party owners of joint-owned poles. Additionally, you will provide engineering support during and after construction to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and conduct root cause analysis of outages, implementing mitigation strategies using engineering principles and design. This role requires travel to sites for inspections and subsequent office-based design work.Hard Skills
