Job description: Position Description :JOIN OUR TEAM to assist and prepare for further employment our Military Veterans by delivering workshops at locations across the United States and virtually. The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these veterans through the Off-Base Transition Training (OBTT) that is offered nationally to conduct job assistance workshops.This position is remote, but requires 20% travel to Serco/Customer sites.In this role, you will:
- Teach and/or instruct Veterans on employment skills used to obtain to civilian employment.
- Guide the Veterans in identifying goals while also assisting them with recognizing any employment or education gaps.
- Organize and able to manage a team schedule.
- Provide Veterans, including those currently serving in the Reserves and National Guard, and Veteran Spouses a comprehensive understanding of civilian employment, job searching, job application processes, networking, technical training opportunities, credentialing, and assistance in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools; and who can conduct large group instruction and provide counseling on the job search process.

- A High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience as a professional trainer or facilitator.
- OR an Associate’s degree.
- Prior experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
- Previous experience as a classroom instructor.
- To be knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and requirement for entry into those jobs.
- The ability to demonstrate in provide training to groups with up to 50 participants: individual career counseling experience.
- To be proficient in MS Windows and Office.
- To be able to communicate effectively with Military clients, be comfortable instructing and speaking in front of a group, be observant of others, possess the ability to engage an audience, and respond to inquiries independently.
- To be available (when required) to work extended hours, including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, and be willing to perform administrative functions for the office.
- The ability to travel 25%.
