Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s operations.
Maintain an awareness of higher echelon policy and guidance and utilizes sound technical judgm.ent in assuring the development or revision of planning and execution in light of policy, guidance, and requirements.
Work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
Review and evaluate budget requests.
Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.

RequirementsConditions of Employment

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires the successful completion of the Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 6 months of employment.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Additional information about transcripts is .Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing audit analysis/evaluation of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of financial programs; interpreting financial/budgeting policies and regulations; utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze and reconcile financial data and obligations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
