- You will perform Advanced life support duties.
- You will perform hazard and risk assessment and conduct complete incident analysis.
- You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes
- You will drive and operate firefighting vehicles, such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and Support Equipment.

QualificationsThis position requires the incumbent to possess the following certification: Firefighter I and II, HAZMAT Technician, Driver/Operator-Pumper, Driver/Operator-Aerial, American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), CPR Certification, National Registry EMT-Paramedic.***These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications, you will be rated ineligible.**Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .1) Direct/deploy firefighting personnel and equipment during emergencies and non-emergency situations; 2) Interfacing in fire department programs such as breathing air systems, personal protective equipment, purchasing/credit card holder, health and safety, fire department accreditation, or similar programs; 3) Applies advanced medical treatment protocols and administers various medications via multiple routes. Administers intravenous fluids via venous cannulation and/or intraosseous routes and calculates appropriate drip rates under the direction of standing orders. Operates and interprets electro-cardiograms, pulse oximetry, end-tidal CO2, and other advanced diagnostic equipment.
