Job description: Job Title: Chinese Language Interpreter for Health Plan Call Center (Remote)Ideal Candidate: A candidate that has worked in healthcare is required. Must live in New York. Possible candidates are medical insurance call center, Medical Assistants, or Customer Service Reps within healthcare.Pay: $24.00 per hour. Benefits offered.Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Chinese Language Interpreter (Mandarin and Cantonese) for a health plan call center. This position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates residing in one of the five boroughs: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, or Staten Island. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and stability within our team.Schedule:

  • 8:30 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday – Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound and inbound calls to health plan members.
  • Track and report members’ health conditions to Case Managers on a monthly basis.
  • Assist members in staying safe and happy within their communities.
  • Upload documents and assist Case Managers with necessary tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound calls from the queue for 2 hours per day.
  • Make 300 outbound calls per month.
  • Attempt 35-40 calls per day with a goal of completing 15-18 calls per day.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Professionalism and experience in speaking with the elderly population.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Researching and good speed typing skills.
  • Good listening skills with empathy.
  • Ability to follow directions, be self-motivated, and complete projects and tasks by due dates.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare or call center environment.
  • Familiarity with health plan services and member support.

Expected salary: $24 per hour
