Join us and let’s build the future.Job SummaryThe HR and Payroll (SAP) Business Analyst is responsible for managing the functional health of our Global Human Resources and US Payroll Application portfolio primarily consisting of 2 Key Systems – an on-premise SAP HCM Global implementation with integrated US Benefits and Payroll modules and a cloud based SAP SuccessFactors suite for Performance Management and Recruitment. The future state will be a Success Factors Employee Central (EC) solution. This role will ensure that all projects and system support primarily in the US Payroll and Benefits areas are implemented and maintained to quality by adopting best practice SAP configuration and technology. This hands-on role will be involved with Application Analysis and Design, System Configuration and Development, Integration, Maintenance and Support for the delivery of projects, and minor/major releases primarily for US Payroll and Benefits. This includes supporting the US Payroll business with their payroll cycles. This position will work closely with SAP Technical Analysts and business owners to understand the business requirements and deliver solutions that support the ongoing Global HR and US Payroll IT and Business Strategy. The HR and Payroll Business Analyst will also work alongside our other Functional and Technical Consultants we contract with from time to time for our larger initiatives. The ideal candidate would be located in commutable distance to either of our corporate facilities in Richmond, IN or Indianapolis, IN but we are open to this being a fully remote position located anywhere in the U.S.Responsibilities
- Responsible for the functional well-being of Belden’s on premise Global HCM SAP system and the integrations with our SAP SuccessFactors Cloud based implementation with primary responsibility for SAP US Payroll, Benefits and our ADP Timeclock systems
- Act as functional and configuration design authority for the US Payroll Application portfolio
- Partner with our SAP BASIS team to ensure that our environments are maintained, our systems are patched regularly, and that US Payroll taxes are kept current
- Lead the functional design and implementation of all US Payroll projects, enhancements, tax updates, payroll cycles, and system support
- To develop quality functional configuration and its associated documentation adhering to team and departmental standards
- To provide SAP functional support including analysis, configuration, testing, tracking and resolution
- To demonstrate high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
- To ensure current skills are up-to-date through research and practice
- To engage professionally with our HCM and US Payroll stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical related field
- Minimum 10 years hands on SAP HCM, US Payroll and Benefits functional and system configuration experience
- Minimum of 8 years functional and process knowledge managing HCM and US Payroll business processes
- Minimum 3 years of SAP US Payroll configuration lead
- Experience with applying US Payroll tax bulletins using services such as BSI
- Experience with implementation and support of SuccessFactors Payroll preferred
- Implementation experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules such as Performance Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employee Central preferred
- Experience with time tracking systems (such as ADP or Kronos) integrating to US Payroll is preferred
- Knowledge on Payroll trends and industry best practices
- Possess a strong track record of business process engineering leadership with a “hands on” style. Important skills include facilitating resolution of design conflicts, partnering effectively with leadership at different levels to gain consensus, creating workable and realistic plans, and ensuring smooth execution
- Be customer focused, seeking constantly to understand (from the customer’s point of view)the problems being faced and the solutions that may work best
- Strong system integration and data migration experience is a plus
- Experience implementing, designing, and enforcing project management methodology
