Our mission is to promote greater diversity in U.S. high schools, facilitate cultural awareness among American and international students, and simplify the process of living and learning abroad.Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resource Generalist specializing in Talent Acquisition and Onboarding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be technology-savvy, efficient, have an eye for talent, and excel at filling openings quickly with the right candidates. They should have 5+ years of experience in direct talent recruitment, with a strong understanding of leveraging social media platforms and hiring platforms to attract and hire top-tier talent. This role requires proficiency in various HRIS and ATS platforms to streamline the recruitment process and ensure efficient onboarding.Responsibilities:
- Proactively source candidates by leveraging LinkedIn Recruiter Lite to identify individuals actively seeking new career opportunities or interested in career transitions, and utilize Indeed Smart Sourcing to engage potential candidates and invite them to apply for open positions.
- Attend College Career Fairs and Community Job Recruitment Fairs to promote current openings and cultivate and broaden our candidate base.
- Build strong professional relationships with school administrators, career development offices, community networking groups and placement agencies within our industry (e.g. Education, Host Family Programs, Boarding Schools).
- Coordinate and handle the end-to-end recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance for all entry-level to mid-level positions. Provide recruitment and administrative assistance to Director of HR for senior-level positions.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers and team members.
- Perform reference checks and background verifications.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and create job descriptions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Proactively build and nurture a pipeline of talent with backgrounds and experience within our industry for current and anticipated future openings and needs.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and training.
- Ensure candidates are ready to start their assignment by the scheduled start date; work with managers and technology vendors to coordinate new hire’s technology assets (such as laptop, work email address, cell phone, work cell phone number, and accessories), assigned desk and supplies, badge and key fob, Welcome Packet, onboarding links, and onboarding plan/schedule.
- Efficiently configure and resolve issues with essential technologies for new hires, such as laptops, cell phones, and key fobs, to facilitate smooth onboarding processes, minimizing the need for external assistance.
- Send out Welcome New Hire Newsletter. Take photo of new hire for website.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Meet and exceed targeted recruitment and retention goals, such as time-to-fill, turnover rates.
- Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting.
- Assist with other HR functions as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in direct talent recruitment, preferably in a similar industry.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting and hiring candidates across various levels and functions.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and hiring platforms for recruitment purposes.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., Isolved). Familiarity with current technology trends and tools to enhance efficiency in HR processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to integrating new tools and platforms into daily operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
