This hands-on role reports to the Managing Director, Human Resources & Administration and includes potential involvement or exposure across all functional areas of HR.This position is ideal for someone who plans and implements programs and processes to the highest standards, is highly process-driven, detail-oriented, proactive in developing methods to improve operations, has a positive attitude, and exhibits the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.Responsibilities
- Partner with the Managing Director, Human Resources & Administration with a focus on development, implementation, and delivery of high quality programming to the organization regarding: Performance Management, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Compliance, and more.
- Partner with our PEO (Professional Employers Organization) to provide HR services and information to our employees and managers including but not limited to: Payroll, Benefits administration, Leave administration, Data management, Reporting and Analysis.
- Create and administer systems, processes, and procedures using current and new systems and platforms.
- Communicate information and support employees throughout the employee lifecycle with an eye towards service and support of the team.
- Be a thought partner to managers and employees regarding HR related matters. Coach managers and employees as appropriate.
- Possibly supervise members of the larger Human Resources and Administration team, including regular and hourly employees, and contractors.
- Travel domestically 2-4 times per year for internal and external organizational events
- Support other organizational projects, tasks, and goals as needed and as assigned.
- With all other QuestBridge staff, annually read and evaluate student applications for National College Match, College Prep Scholars Program, and other opportunities.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5+ years of full-time experience in Human Resources.
- PHR/SPHR/HRCI or related HR certification/HR specific training preferred.
- Experience with Performance Management, Talent Acquisition/Staffing, Training & Development, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations preferred.
- Experience with Payroll with or without a PEO, Leave Admin, Health Benefits, 401k, Compensation, Data Management, HR Systems, working with a PEO preferred.
- Experience with HR related platforms such as Greenhouse, Lattice, or Sequoia One is a plus.
- Track record of managing multiple projects, setting priorities, establishing operational processes, and executing on plans with measurable outcomes.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential information and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
- Process-oriented and detailed, with ability to understand and communicate complex processes in a straightforward way.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with superior writing and editing ability.
- Self-starter, independently resourceful, and a quick study, with a keen sense of accountability.
