  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Serve as the Application Platform Services (APS) Strategic Planner. Lead the creation of IT applications and platforms and business-enabling IT System requirements.
  • Analyze and validate the NASA Consolidated Application and Platform Services (NCAPS) contract, ensuring accuracy and coordination of requirements, pricing, and provisioning of IT requirements, labor, software, equipment, etc.
  • Lead Risk Management process, including creation/development of risks, and direct the analysis, coordination, planning, and implementation of IT technologies.
  • Liaise between APS IT Specialists and the NCAPS Contracting Officer’s Representative to create statements of work/performance work statements and ensure compliance with IT contract requirements.
  • Perform as the Deputy Technical Area Manager (TAM), working with the Technical Point of Contacts (TPOCs) and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs). Perform non-enterprise IT contract support, facilitation, and management.
  • Execute in-depth data analysis and integration of enterprise IT goals and objectives. Develop and monitor metrics used to evaluate the progress and accomplishment of those goals/objectives.

QualificationsSpecialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.

  • Supporting a wide range and variety of IT issues, including IT procurement, acquisition methodologies, or risk management;
  • Assisting with and advising on the analysis, coordination, planning, or implementation of technologies;
  • Assisting with developing IT strategic plans to ensure operational efficiency.

To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.

  • Providing advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of IT issues, including IT procurement, acquisition methodologies, and risk management;
  • Directing the analysis, coordination, planning, or implementation of technologies;
  • Developing multi-year IT strategic plans and coordinating budgets to ensure operational efficiency.
