Job title: Lead Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (EPIC Developer) (REMOTE)

Job description: Overview:Residing on the Reporting, Analytics, and Business Intelligence Team, the Lead Cogito BI Developer leads and provides technical expertise in the design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance of Epic reporting and analytic solutions including Caboodle/Clarity databases and Healthy Planet, Radar, SlicerDicer, and Reporting Workbench applications. This position acts as subject matter expert and assists other members of the team in data discovery and mapping, ETL and schema design, and application development. This position will assist in designing Fact and Dimension tables, Healthy Planet registries, develop ETL processes using SSIS, prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and/or Analysts. This position requires a strong
technical background among multiple technical disciplines and an expertise in Healthy Planet and Caboodle development. This role will act as a bridge of communication and expertise between IT and other analyst/application teams within the Enterprise. This position will report to the Associate Director of Business Intelligence.
- This position is grant-dependent and currently secured for one year. Additional grant funding is under review but not currently secure.
Responsibilities:Essential DutiesPrimary Accountabilities:
- Develops complex Healthy Planet patient and contact registries/metrics based on based on stakeholder initiatives and organization strategy.
- Works with BI developers, analysts, and customers (clinical/operational leaders, data scientists, quality analysts, etc.) to design, create and publish data models, ETL processes, and metadata using the Epic Caboodle Console, as well as third party ETL tools.
- Performs highly complex data queries and mapping. Leads the development and validates test plans for solutions, applications, and/or operating systems.
- Acts as subject matter expert for all Epic Cogito/Radar applications (SlicerDicer, SQL Metrics, RW reports, etc.) and communicates barriers/limitations associated with applications to Enterprise and executive partners.
- Serves as a data warehouse expert, specifically Clarity and Caboodle, consultant within the CommUnityCare.
- This includes gathering and interpreting business requirements. Is able to formulate and implement data warehouse solutions based on requirements and following IT methodologies, processes and standards.
- Acts as subject matter expert in SQL querying and configuring of Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.
- Develops and maintains health care subject matter expertise related to specific products, data elements, business processes, data marts, and BI applications. Ensures strategic alignment of IT solutions with business objectives.
- Performs troubleshooting of complex/difficult implementation issues; test security of roll-out. Remains vigilant of data architecture standards and best practices to ensure solutions are maintainable and scalable.
- Supports technical development and documentation of complex BI reports, applications, and database management. Validates development of prototypical systems or system components to demonstrate technical feasibility.
- Provides complete and consistent documentation of data warehouse content in the Caboodle Console to ensure that users can determine what data is available in the warehouse, how this data is defined, and lineage to Epic Clarity.
- Participates in the ongoing maintenance of the data warehouse and ETL programs. Creates and modifies the structure of database objects in database using T-SQL DDL.
- Mentors BI Developers to improve technical skills and provides motivation/guidance to less experienced personnel. Mentors in the deployment of SSIS ETL Jobs, Stored Procedures and Views to production servers.

- Knowledge and skills with Healthy Planet contact and patient registry development, business application, and maintenance.
- Knowledge and skills with Clarity and Caboodle development.
- Knowledge and skills developing Epic SlicerDicer Data Models
- Self-starter able to take ownership of analysis projects from start to finish, with the ability to meet established timelines.
- Knowledge and skills of databases, stored procedures, and the scheduling of jobs
- Ability to work with diverse teams, and collaborate with leaders from all areas of organization.
- Knowledge and skill in technical documentation.
- Ability and drive to maintain a working knowledge of key indicators, standards, and processes related to EMR systems.

Qualifications:Minimum EducationBachelor’s Degree Management Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology or related quantitative discipline.Preferred EducationMaster’s Degree Master’ s Degree Management Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology or related quantitative discipline.Minimum Experience7 years Business Intelligence or Analytics/Reporting experience.
4 years Epic Healthy Planet and/or Clarity/Caboodle Development experience.
4 years SQL Server Experience, including SSIS and T-SQL, coding, performance tuning, and system optimization.
4 years Microsoft SQL Coding (preferably T-SQL) experience.Required Licenses/Certifications Licenses/Certification
