Job description: Job Title: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Job Type: Full-timeHours: Flexible; minimum of 15 patient sessions per week requiredCompensation: $80,000-$86,000Location: Fully Remote – Bethesda, MDPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to provide virtual outpatient psychiatric evaluation, medication management services, and counseling. Our organization is committed to integrating modern psychotherapy techniques with additional supportive practices to enhance the well-being of our clients, focusing on adolescents, adults, and families.Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify client strengths, stressors, and needs.
- Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions as needed.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address specific client concerns.
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Build and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship with clients to facilitate trust and effective communication.
- Actively monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, and support staff.
- Liaise with clients’ families and external healthcare providers when necessary.
- Uphold the highest ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, particularly those concerning client confidentiality.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay current with industry developments.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with a focus on treating trauma, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar), and clients with chronic pain/illness.
- Must hold a valid and current Maryland state license as an LPC.
- Proficient in the use of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and assessment tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- License in Maryland
