Join our winning team of Wave Makers and Go Getters and help us write the next chapter in the SCJ story.As the HR Business Partner in New Ventures you will play a key role as the HR resource for all mergers and acquisitions from pre- to post-acquisition. Leveraging strong HR business partner experience, you will be responsible for successfully managing all HR related due diligence matters, post-acquisition New Ventures support, and potential integration. You will partner with members of the deal team to raise any due diligence HR issues with HR COE leaders, Finance, Legal and other functions on aspects of the deal (from concept to integration). Post-acquisition, you will provide a broad spectrum of strategic HR support and guidance to ensure the success of these businesses and enable the 1+1=3 SCJNV strategy.1+1=3 is the power of SCJ and our New Venture companies to accelerate value creation, where the sum is greater that the individual parts. You will work with SCJ HR, New Venture liaisons, and New Venture companies to support HR efforts including, and not limited to, compensation benchmarks, call/ exit plans, executive recruitment, retention plans, RIFs, and job description review.ÂYou will be expected to establish trusted relationships with leaders, within SCJ and with SCJ NV companies, by truly understanding the business and aligning human resources programs to credibly enable key initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAct as primary HR contact for all SCJ NV due diligence and SCJNV company support, partnering with multiple stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Legal.Provide HR guidance and support to each SCJ NV Company throughout their duration as a New Ventures entity. Field inquiries from SCJ NV companies across a wide-spectrum of HR related issues, providing âphone-a-friendâ support and rapid responses. Contribute valuable insight on right-sized HR solutions, processes, and practices, including but not limited to organizational design, compensation, executive recruitment, and benefits.Leverage HR expertise and network to deliver results. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment, balance risk and benefit in recommendations, and use appropriately creative methods to deliver commitments.Serves as the HR subject matter expert through the diligence process, including assisting with framing diligence objectives and coordinating the reporting of diligence findings to leadership.Conducts due diligence to understand the target companyâs HR practices and executive leadership talent assessments. Manages reporting and resolution of issues and risks, proactively identifying-potential post-acquisition gaps, risk mitigations, and actions to close issues.Enable ongoing learning and continuous improvement by developing HR best practices on processes to utilize during all SCJNV initiatives, including developing playbooks to and maintaining central data base of confidential data for future reference.ÂDrive consistency of approaches where appropriate, identify areas where principled approaches should be driven across the portfolio while being comfortable not doing the âgood-to-haveâ and ânice-to-haveâ priorities.Provides expertise, strategic consulting as well as thought leadership to help drive effective people strategies for SCJ NV and SCJ NV portfolio of companies.Trusted strategic partner with key senior leadership to provide HR solutions to help execute business strategies and enable alignment and growth.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOUâLL BRINGBachelorâs degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, or HR7 years of experience within multiple disciplines within HR (i.e., Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits, Recruitment, Business Partner, etc.)Qualified applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesPREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLSExperience interacting in a cross functional capacityExperience in consumer goods industryHuman Capital M&A experience a plus, restructuring experience including a background in due diligence, assessment of transaction risks, target screening, integration planning and execution, and/or post-merger integration.Demonstrated business acumen and finance skills.Strong relationship and project management skills.ÂDemonstrated knowledge of HR functions and processes, with experience in one or more areas: HR Strategy, HR Operating Models, HR M&A, Total Rewards.Broad-based knowledge of design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.Expertise in acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, recruiting, HR generalist, and or compensation/stock programs.High learning agility, curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communications and strong presentation skills.Strong leadership and management skills.Track record of partnering, building relationships, and teamwork within a matrix environment to provide insights and drive improvement in the employee experience and business results.Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on understanding what our business partners need and how to most effectively meet their short- and long-term needs.Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, 409A rules, Executives Perks, and Qualified and Non-Qualified Pension Programs.ÂMaster’s Degree or MBA.Proficient with MS Office and Workday or similar HR system.Ability to lead organizations through change management.JOB REQUIREMENTSFull time role; core business hoursTravel up to 10%Office environmentRemote work is available once a week for eligible employeesThis role is eligible for domestic relocationBENEFITS AND PERKSSC Johnsonâs total compensation packages are at or above industry levels.
