Job description: TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking an experienced MCAT tutor specializing in Biology/Biochemistry. This is a remote tutoring position, providing flexibility and convenience for both the tutor and the students.The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the MCAT exam and its content in these areas. They will be responsible for providing high-quality one-on-one remote tutoring sessions to help students prepare for the MCAT exam.Chapter: WashingtonPosition: MCAT Tutor (Bio)Tutoring Session Length: 60-90 minutesClassification: Contract (1099)Location: RemoteResponsibilities:
- Provide online tutoring sessions to students preparing for the MCAT exam in the Biological Sciences section
- Create customized lesson plans based on students’ needs and goals
- Review and analyze practice tests and identify areas for improvement
- Provide guidance and support to help students develop effective study strategies
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and session notes
Requirements
- An earned Bachelor’s degree
- Strong MCAT scores knowledge of the MCAT exam and its content in the Biological Sciences section
- Demonstrable experience in MCAT tutoring or teaching, preferably in this section
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work remotely and provide online tutoring sessions
- Flexibility and availability to accommodate students’ schedules
