Job Overview:We are seeking a Medicaid Services Access Specialist to support the Department of Health (DOH) in ensuring compliance with the CMS Final Rule on “Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services.” The successful candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing and interpreting CMS guidance, developing project schedules, and assisting in the creation of a comprehensive requirements matrix to track key compliance milestones.Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret CMS Final Rule guidance related to Medicaid service access
- Collaborate with project leadership to develop a project schedule and communications plan
- Assist in creating a CMS Final Rule Requirements Matrix, organizing requirements into relevant categories, and prioritizing compliance actions
- Participate in stakeholder interviews to understand current access processes and identify gaps
- Support the development of a Gap Analysis and Implementation Roadmap to ensure timely compliance with CMS regulations
- Provide ongoing support to DOH for final rule compliance activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medicaid services, with a focus on access and compliance
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and guidelines
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of eMedNY system operations
- Experience working with ‘Big 4’ consulting firm
