- Tracking, reporting, and managing the status of Medical Policy Operations projects
- Lead projects, define performance and goal execution, and drive results
- Investigate non-standard requests and issues, complete projects on time and within scope
- Monitor and document project milestones and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deployment dates and project implementation are successful and make clear presentations to leadership
- Be a subject matter expert on scope definition and documentation, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation
- Determine time frames, requirements, and lead others to implement initiatives. Support implementation of initiatives
- Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans when deliverables are missed (e.g., identify critical path, document, and plan for getting back on project schedule)
- Interface with operations/partners on business system needs
- Work with resource managers to drive identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution
- Collect, analyze, and maintain financial forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software, savings), using input from applicable sources
- Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards, and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)

- Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
- Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- Lead cross functional discussions related to implementing projects
- Work with contacts to gain the proper approvals

- 2+ years of experience working within a managed care organization or health insurer
- Extensive project management experience using data and information to make business decisions
- Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leaders
- Proficiency with MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, Teams and Project Management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Experience in one of the following areas: Provider Data Operations/Analytics, Network Contracting, Affordability, Medical Management, Benefits, Medical Claims Review or Medical Policy
- Understanding of medical coding concepts (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/10)
- Proficiency with Visio, SharePoint

- Able to work with minimal supervision

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
