Collects blood and study blood samples used in transfusionsOperates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment.Performs manual tests based on detailed instructions from a physician.Runs tests and analyzes the results to be reported to the patient, physician or registered nurse.Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.Performs Therapeutic Phlebotomy as requestedDOT Urine drug screen and BAT collection certifiedSuccessfully completes competency assessments and color blind testing.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationX Graduate of a Program in Discipline X RequiredX Bachelorâs degree X RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Ability to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systemsMust be able to communicate with the ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishCertifications:ASCP, AMT or other nationally certified accredited organization or board eligibleBoard eligible employees are to be ASCP or AMT registered within the first 6 months of employmentLicenses:No state license requiredHospital or clinical experience preferred
