By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.ROLE DESCRIPTION:CoStar Group is currently seeking a Principal, HR Business Partner in our Washington, DC headquarters to support leaders and employees across CoStar Group Finance, Marketing & Communications and Legal organizations. This role will support all facets of HR and people strategies that enable business goals and objectives. Responsibilities will include advising business stakeholders on people related matters and leading HR initiatives and programs across the client group.This role offers a schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic advisor and HR partner for senior corporate leaders.
- Possess a keen understanding of the overarching strategy of the business with the ability to counsel leaders to enable growth of the business, drive retention and develop career strategies of our people
- Lead discussions with Executive Business Leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategies
- Coach managers to aid in their effectiveness, foster highly functioning and engaged teams and drive a thriving corporate culture
- Predict, assess and determine business needs in the areas of organizational design, staffing, performance management, succession planning, development and communication plans
- Partner with other HR functions to identify, evaluate and drive forward key initiatives
- Contribute to the strategy and development of a best-in-class HR organization
- Mitigate and analyze situations to resolve complex HR challenges that arise and advise managers with actionable items to mitigate issues and concerns to always protect the company
- Additional projects as needed (process improvement, training facilitation)
- Lead discussions with senior leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategies
- Develop enhanced people related communication strategies that drive engagement
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
- A track record of commitment to prior employers
- 12+ years of related experience in a strategic role advising business leaders on people related strategies
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise across HR functions including – Organizational Design, Talent Development, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations and Compensation planning
- Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Power Point
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working within the Workday HRIS platform
- Experience within the commercial real estate industry, digital marketplace or information technology company strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively resolve issues through active listening, good judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters
- Successful candidate will be self-directed with demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage time
