As Print Manager under the NASA End-User Services & Technologies (NEST) contract, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless print support for all NASA centers and contractual worksite locations. Your responsibilities will encompass managing and maintaining essential IT Print services. This position is critical and in support of NASA’s core business activities.
Your greatest work is ahead!Primary Responsibilities:What You’ll Get to Do
– Manage Print Services: Oversee the provisioning and management of digital multifunction printing devices (MFDs) and printers, ensuring compliance with NASA’s requirements.
– Subcontract Team Management: Lead and coordinate a subcontract team responsible for executing print work within NASA.
– Service Model Implementation: Implement the NEST Print Services Subscription Service Model, providing managed hardware and services as required.
– Pro-actively identify risks and challenges to meeting contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA)s and develop and implement approaches to meet all required operational metrics.
– Technical Approach Development: Develop and maintain a technical approach for ordering, delivering, maintaining, refreshing, and unsubscribing all print solution services using NASA’s ITSM system.
– Device Management: Ensure all print devices meet or exceed the Hardware Reference Configurations (HRCs) and manage the end-to-end device lifecycle.
– Reporting and Analysis: Provide detailed impression utilization reporting and perform print volume utilization and usage analysis to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs.
– Energy Conservation: Align with the EPA’s ENERGY STAR initiative, promoting energy efficiency and environmental responsibility in all print services.
– Legacy Device Support: Provide support for legacy print devices, ensuring continuity and efficiency in print services.Requirements:– Experience: Proven experience, or equivalent experience, in managing print services, projects and leading teams, preferably in a government or large enterprise environment.
– Demonstrated experience providing management and oversight of subcontracted work scope, including Statement of Work (SOW) requirements drafting, subcontractor performance management, and corrective action plan implementation.
– Technical Skills: Strong understanding of print device management, including secure printing, encryption, Active Directory integration, and automated print driver installation.
– Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with NASA personnel and subcontract teams.
– Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze print utilization data and make informed recommendations to optimize print services.
– Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as required.Basic Qualifications:You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Experienced in Project Management
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in effectively working within a group to deliver IT services.
  • Experience interacting with senior level managers and customers.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Desired Qualifications:– Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in print management or IT services, Scrum Master, or Project Management Certs.
