- Serves as the primary program analyst for strategic engagements within the USMA Commander’s Action Group (CAG) and a principal Congressional Affairs Contact Officer (CACO) within the command.
- Plan, prepare, and synchronize strategic engagements across the West Point enterprise and with external stakeholders.
- Explore and pursue engagement opportunities that advance the Academy’s strategic objectives and strengthens partnerships with higher headquarters, adjacent commands, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate across the West Point enterprise to prepare the Superintendent and other Academy senior leaders for all visits and engagements in order to achieve desired strategic effects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on legislative matters and a principal liaison with the Army’s Office of the Chief, Legislative Liaison (OCLL).
- Oversee the command’s responses to all congressional inquiries and external requests for information.

- This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
