Job description: Job Title: Substation DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Substation Designer to focus on physical design for substations throughout all phases. You will work alongside a project team and coordinate with Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, and Drafters to complete physical substation designs. Your role will involve working through design components, including plans, sections, and elevations. The ideal candidate should be able to visualize 3D designs of substations.Responsibilities
- Complete physical substation designs through all phases of the project
- Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, and Drafters
- Work on design components including plans, sections, and elevations
- Visualize and create 3D designs of substations
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in substation design and physical design
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to visualize in 3D
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of a technical degree or Associate’s Degree in Drafting or AutoCAD/Design or equivalent prior technical experience
- Experience working on a design project from start to finish
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 – $60.10/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
