We believe skills and experience are transferrable, and the desire to dream big makes for great candidates.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an outstanding attorney with 15+ years of experience in product counseling and management to join our dynamic legal team as the Sr. Director, Product Legal. The position will be responsible for leading a global legal team that supports the development, launch and operations of ServiceNow Products and Services, advising on a wide variety of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, licensing and contracting, and counseling business teams on legal risk.In addition, this attorney will be responsible for assisting with the training and professional growth of attorneys and legal professionals. The ideal candidate is business oriented, approachable, and can provide exceptional practical legal guidance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Support and help grow a team of talented attorneys and legal professionals, including Directors and Senior Managers
  • Identify and implement process improvements at scale.
  • Advise on a variety of complex legal matters, including artificial intelligence and data governance.
  • Develop and implement legal processes and ensure teams comply with requirements.
  • Be a trusted partner to legal, product, engineering, and other business teams.
  • Communicate and interact with leaders of all levels within the company.

Qualifications

  • Current member of a state bar.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a technology company.
  • Candidates must demonstrate experience in leading a team to be considered for this position.
  • Demonstrated history of success in managing and developing both managers and individual contributors, including attorneys and legal professionals.
  • Extensive experience with using pragmatic and high judgment thinking in providing legal advice on complex matters.
  • Effective communicator with a demonstrated history of partnering and earning trust with senior executives.
  • Ability to identify, design and implement programs and policies to help scale a rapidly growing business and legal team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technology industry, particularly regarding cloud computing and software businesses.
  • Highly motivated, with a desire to make a positive impact within a quickly growing organization.
  • Effectively manage priorities and goals for a team in a fluctuating and sometimes ambiguous business environment.
