We are looking for candidates who can support the design and development of our current and future systems.
As a Network Engineer you would:
- Support development of new capabilities by designing network solutions to support new network capabilities.
- Support troubleshooting of both development and operational systems and collaborate with engineering teams
- Will be responsible for all network hardware and operating systems in both development and operational baselines, including supporting remote sites which may include travel
- Successful candidates must have an active TS security clearance with Security+ or equivalent certification.
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing configurations using CLI on Cisco switches/routers and Juniper firewalls.
- Must possess a cybersecurity certification such as Security+ or CISSP.
- Experience including increasing responsibility for network implementation projects in large production environments.
- Experience in the application of STIG settings to network computing infrastructure.
- Experience in planning technology refresh activities of network computing infrastructure.
- Gather customer requirements, create design packages, submit for peer review, obtain approvals, schedule outages, and deploy the customer environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems to meet service restoration, network availability and reliability objectives.
- The ability and willingness to thoroughly document systems, configurations and procedures.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications to maintain project schedules, network diagrams, and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Willingness to share knowledge and mentor team members.
Desired skills
- COMSEC and CRYPTO Clearance.
- Experience with Cisco routing devices such as 8000, 4000 Series platforms and Nexus switching platforms.
- Familiarity with IP telephony and integration into existing IP network infrastructure.
- System and network experience with Microsoft Windows, UNIX and Linux.
- Familiarity in the design of network physical layer facilities, including specification of copper wiring and fiber optic cabling, physical security, power, and cooling requirements.
