Job description: Employee Services has the immediate need for a part time skilled Counselor. The Counselor will provide counseling and case management for our EAP members who call for support. Primary responsibilities include conducting a telephonic triage, assessment, providing in the moment support and coordinating resources.Master’s degree is the minimum academic requirement. Behavioral Health Care Professionals with experience in social work, counseling or a related field preferred. - Conducts telephonic triage and assessment, providing in the moment support to members on issues, including but not limited to: behavioral health, substance abuse, relationship, and work-life, and coordinates resources.
- Coordinates and completes case management of intakes.
- Makes clinical determinations in adherence with Company risk policy and in the member and Company’s best interest.
- Provides referrals to service provider network and/or other resources as appropriate for financial concerns, legal concerns, personal assistant, and work-life requests.
- Telehealth intake assessments triage, coaching, brief solution-focused counseling to members on issues, including but not limited to: behavioral health, substance abuse, relationship, and work-life issues.
- Consults with service providers to make referrals and complete session authorizations. Follows cases to completion.
- Utilizes computer-based case management system to complete professional documentation
- Consults with Human Resources and supervisory personnel from client companies regarding employee issues and concerns
- Maintains industry knowledge and ethical code.
