Our team is seeking a Transportation Engineer Licensed 13-Construction Materials Technology Engineer for our Bureau of Field Services Team. We are looking for someone who can embrace the challenges of meeting our goals and exceeding the standards! This position functions as the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) statewide administrator of the materials testing and laboratory information tracking system within AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials (APCM) software application. As the responsible in charge, with extensive knowledge of materials acceptance, testing, and laboratory protocols, the position serves as the departmental expert with materials within the APCM application in leading, guiding, and supporting the implementation and management of materials within APCM. This position works closely with the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) in determining appropriate security for this software, integrations, and security levels for the MDOT and external users. This position is responsible for maintaining statewide/regional alignment for all material and laboratory APCM initiatives and collaborating with internal and external teams in charge of meeting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) material tracking, testing, and reporting requirements. Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer, including two years equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12.Additional Requirements and InformationTo be considered for this position you must:
