Job description: Job DescriptionThis position functions as the Assistant Construction Engineer within the Grand Rapids Transportation Service Center (TSC) responsible for construction administration tasks as well as other duties in the areas of maintenance administration, traffic and safety engineering, utility and permit right of way review, and design plan preparation. This position serves as a technical expert overseeing complex road and bridge projects which could include new construction, rehabilitation, or traffic and safety improvement projects. Possession of a registered professional engineer license as required by the State of Michigan may be substituted for 6 months of experience at the Transportation Engineer 9-12 levels.
