They are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to assist them on a contract basis to enhance and maintain their online presence.Job Description:Position Overview: As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining the client’s WordPress website. You will work remotely, collaborating with the marketing and IT teams to ensure the website meets the community’s needs and provides an exceptional user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of WordPress, web development best practices, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain the WordPress website to meet the community’s needs and enhance user experience.
- Implement new features and functionality based on client requirements.
- Ensure the website is optimized for performance, speed, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including bugs and technical problems.
- Collaborate with the marketing and IT teams to integrate website content and design.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility.
- Ensure the website is secure, regularly updating plugins, themes, and WordPress core.
- Create and update technical documentation for website features and functionality.
- Provide training and support to the client’s team on website management and updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with PHP and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with website optimization techniques and SEO best practices.
- Experience with website security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with web hosting environments and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
