  • Serves as HNC-CR Deputy Director.
  • Executes actions to ensure support will be responsive and conducted in an economical efficient, and pragmatic manner.
  • Provides technical and policy guidance to staff personnel in areas of budgeting, civilian personnel and technology management.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities.

QualificationsIn order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by the depth and quality level of experience to successfully perform the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist which includes: Providing executive programmatic direction and conducting of the total Air Force Cryptographic acquisition and sustainment missions, as well as other specialized signals intelligence, force protection and technical application sustainment missions; Negotiating and resolving highly complex and controversial issues; Originating operational changes needed to meet changing mission requirements; Directing, coordinating and overseeing work through subordinate supervisor; Delivering presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems, requirements for support and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices of the command.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:1. Extensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, program management, and product support and Air Force, AFMC, and HN policies, regulations, goals, and missions, especially as applied to the acquisition cryptographic systems.
2. Expert knowledge of other acquisition functional roles in the system acquisition process.
3. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
4. Expert knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and monitoring contract activities.
5. Extensive knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions; and high-level of ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information; plan, organize, integrate, and mange a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in providing program support and make sound judgments concerning program activities and progress.
6. Must be able to participate and/or lead in study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints. Must also be able to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and to design, build and use models and simulation techniques.
7. Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production and support of a system, subsystems, or equipment and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions in support of the process.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in order to produce highly technical reports, position papaers and briefings which are appropriate for the intended audience.PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
