Job description: A Non-Profit in New York City is seeking a highly motivated HR Assistant to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with internship experience or early HR exposure, looking to grow their career in human resources. Fluency in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is required to support our diverse workforce.
- HR Support: Assist the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks such as onboarding, employee file maintenance, and data entry.
- Employee Communication: Serve as a liaison for Spanish-speaking employees, assisting with inquiries and translating documents as needed.
- Recruitment Assistance: Help with scheduling interviews, posting job ads, and coordinating recruitment efforts.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of employee information, ensuring all files and databases are up to date.
- Compliance: Support the HR team in ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- New Hire Orientation: Assist in preparing materials for new hire orientation sessions and participate in onboarding activities.
- Employee Engagement: Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve employee engagement and culture.

- Internship experience or 1 year in an administrative or HR role.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
