We also focus on educating families, so they become allies in their child’s development and specific challenges.Job Type: FULL- TIMEJob Summary:The primary function of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavior interventions to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. The BCBA also consults with and teaches ABA Therapists and other therapeutic team members (i.e., caregivers, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, etc.) how to implement behavior analytic strategies; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and monitors progress regularly by analyzing data. The BCBA manages the child’s ABA Team and provides ongoing training and direct supervision to team members.Supervisory Responsibilities:Direct supervision for ABA Therapists or RBTs who deliver direct ABA services to clientsDirect and indirect supervision for individuals accruing hours for his/her BCBA or BCaBA fieldworkDuties/Responsibilities:Use appropriate assessment tools (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R or AFLS) and data to develop and implement individualized behavior analytic treatment plansMonitor and modify treatment plans based on direct observations, therapist or parent feedback and objective data collected by therapists or parentsProvide supervision and deliver feedback to ABA Therapists to improve implementation of ABA TherapyMaintain appropriate documentation and prepare reports as required.Ensure that all treatment plans and programs comply with contract requirements, professional standards and insurance requirements. Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic records across clients and supervisees.Coordinate with each family and to complete appropriate recruiting, selection, training, and retention of ABA Therapists and RBTs.Coordinate efforts with the Lead BCBA to ensure that all treatment-related aspects of each ABA Treatment Plan are addressed thoroughly.Plan for generalization and maintenance of skills across settings including Parent Education sessionsConduct assessments and summarize findings as needed, including: Preference assessments, Functional Analyses, Functional Behavior Assessments, etc.Participate in Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetings for clients as appropriate.Promote positive public relations, facilitate interagency collaboration, and advocate for the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive services.Participate in professional growth activities such as professional development meetings for ABA staff, team meetings and booster training sessions as needed.May perform other related duties as assigned.Respond to emails dailySOAP note completion within 48 hoursRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong communication skills to work with a diverse team.Basic computer skills and be able to use all required software.Ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including during emergencies or when a supervisor is not onsite.Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisition within established schedule and timelines.Work productively to develop relationships with individuals, families, and natural supports.Proven creative abilities, strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.Maintain a high level of organization for file maintenance, daily, weekly and monthly record keepingEducation and Experience:Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardA Master’s degree in ABA, special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of Autism Spectrum DisordersA minimum of three years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disordersKnowledge of autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development.Experience developing behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs across the following domains: communication, social skills, play skills, visual/perceptual skills, activities of daily living and vocational skills.Knowledge of current methods and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Teaching; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and professionals; competence in analyzing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioral programs, and monitoring progressMust be able to work effectively as a team member, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications, and travel independently in rural/remote locations.The belief that your amazing skill set can make a profound and lasting impact on the children you will work with while at Lumiere Children’s Therapy.Physical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Benefits
