- Performs budget analysis supporting the formulation, justification, presentation, execution and/or review of budgets for assigned major funds, programs, organizations or projects using pertinent policies and objectives.
- Formulates the assigned portion of the budgetary.
- Represents the command at budget reviews and hearings at higher echelons.
- Coordinates with installation budget officers and resource managers to obtain installation specific information regarding assigned programs and local requirements.
- Analyzes program and budget guidance and instructions from higher headquarters to determine impact on installation operations.
- Receive, distribute, and administer budget and program actions required to determine and defend optimum approaches to financing agency operations and programs.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position which requires the incumbent to comply with requirements of this certification program within 24 months of entering the position.
- This position requires a 1-year Supervisory Probationary period.
- This is an obligated position.
