- This Developer will work with a group of highly motivated and experienced information technology professionals who have spent the past few years working diligently to modernize existing and implementing new & innovative tools for the Seneca Insurance Organization as efficient, effective, and scalable business solutions.
- General Iseries (AS/400) Concepts
- COBOL/400 & ILE (Integrated Language Environment)
- Control Language for Iseries (AS/400)
- Experience with SQL, Stored Procedures & Functions
- Familiar with Agile
- Strong Emphasis on Quality Assurance
- Develop architectural diagrams for all solutions
- Ability to create secure file transfers to and from Iseries (AS/400) and other platforms
- Ability to work with end users and management to understand requirements, document the need, thoroughly test the changes, or new development, in order to complete it quickly and successfully.
What you will bring to C&F:
- 2 to 5 years of Cobol programming experience.
- COBOL Development on Iseries (AS/400)
- Control Language for Iseries (AS/400)
- WINS (Wheatley Insurance System) experience preferred but not required.
- ALDON (change management tool/Source Code Management)
- CATAPULT (IBM Conversion and Report Distribution)
- Tech. Lead Experience a plus
- Developer must have experience in COBOL/400, Control Language (CL/400), and SQL
- Experience with utilities like SEU, SDA, RLU, PDM, WRKQRY, WRKVIEW
- Familiarity with source control tools like ALDON
- Good knowledge of database DB2/400
- Insurance background helpful
