  • Field Engineering – Performs and/or directs the full range of field engineering functions associated with assigned projects.
  • Data and Correspondence – Compiles data and prepares a variety of correspondence and reports.
  • Contract administration.
  • Safety – Ensures strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with two (2) or more of the following: 1) interpreting plans and specifications; 2) inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements; 3) reviewing contractor-submitted documents for accuracy and adequacy; and/or 4) furnishing field information for construction progress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).For the GS-11:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting plans and specifications; inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements; reviewing contractor-submitted documents for accuracy and adequacy; and furnishing field information for construction progress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted.EducationThis job does not have an education qualification requirement.Additional information
