Job description: Marketing CopywriterThe Travelers Employment Branding Team, which is responsible for recruitment marketing, is seeking a 40hr/wk. (remote or hybrid–location must be included on the top of the resume, if they are 1 hour from Hartford they will be hybrid) contractor. Qualified candidates will have a background in marketing or communications (or related field) and have completed some associated project work. Strong writing (blog and social media), organizational skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.What Will You Do?
The individual in this role will have the opportunity to support the team in multiple areas of employment marketing including social media and career site management. Some of the responsibilities will include:
Writing, developing and scheduling social media posts and updating internal content library.
Creating blogs for publishing to career site (interviewing employees, drafting blog and posting).
Other duties and/or administrative tasks as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
Intermediate writing and editing skills.
Intermediate knowledge of social media and marketing trends.
Intermediate knowledge understanding of appropriate methods and techniques for communicating with multiple audiences.
Intermediate interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Intermediate project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, within tight timeframes.
Intermediate problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team (on team assignments).
Developing enterprise perspective and understanding of how initiatives fit into the organization.
What is a Must Have?
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Writing or minimum of 2 years of related communications experience.
