The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to scope and drive report requests and organizational platform enhancements from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business processes in one or more of the following areas: solar industry, energy industry, utilities industry, and/or finance. Skills in reviewing SQL data, Power BI, artificial intelligence, Databricks, Dev Ops, and Excel are essential. This position can be based in office or fully remote.Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and prioritize report requests and platform enhancement needs.
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and Leads on business requirement documents.
- Manage business unit-specific projects, including working with stakeholders, building out requirements, and meeting with business units to gather and incorporate feedback.
- Able to speak to executive-level management with good communication as well as be the liaison to developers and have marginal code knowledge.
- Extremely creative in providing users with ideas on Power BI graphs, charts, and KPIs.
- Able to provide Power BI users with clarity on good design practices such as the ability to communicate the data story with color selection, layout, and powerful visualizations.
- Communicate effectively with both low-level and executive-level management.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Identify and resolve project roadblocks and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure that project documentation is complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure projects meet business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and making necessary adjustments to processes.
- Work in partnership with the team in Dev Ops to monitor projects.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst position, preferably within a business enhancements or IT environment or 2-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a business enhancements or IT environment.
- 2-5 years of experience with Power BI.
- Experience with or interest in learning artificial intelligence management in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMBOK).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with platforms such as the Viewpoint ERP system.
