Job description: Job DescriptionICF is hiring for a Data Analyst to support enterprise big data and analytics platforms that utilize emerging technology to ingest data in real-time at extreme volumes and high velocity.Responsibilities:Versatile data analyst – able to support data analysis needs in a software development lifecycle and in a business support capacity to find data insights to solve a business problemIn a software development lifecycle – Provide inputs into data arch design, analyze data outputs to validate data quality and communicate gaps to the development team; Validate SIT and CAT results to ensure product meets acceptance criteria; Support production data validation and investigations;In a business support role – Triage and investigate user inquiries; query and analyze data to identify business insights; Work with the Air Program Manager to create data visualizations, PowerPoint decks, ad hoc data pulls, and other outputs to communicate insights to client management/leadership;Required Skills:3 years of experience as a data analyst1 year of SQL experienceUS Citizenship required by federal contractPreferred Skills:Experience with Data Visualization and QlikExperienced with querying and exploring data within a NoSQL data platform (e.g., Hadoop/Hive)Postal or airline/air cargo industry experienceStrong geographical knowledge of US States and Territories; understanding of how ZIP codes relate to geography and how cities/locations are connected via land, water, and airWorking at ICFICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
