Critical for success in this role will include communicating and demonstrating SRAI’s products with a focus on client ROI and enhancement of business performance. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for New Business activities, from front-of-funnel prospecting through deal close and client onboarding, working closely with the product team and Sales Enablement to develop and execute messaging. As this practice area expands and grows in size and maturity, this role will be responsible to develop, coach, mentor, guide a high performing team supporting sales pursuit in both new and existing customers. Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do:
- Identify and prospect potential retail CPG clients by utilizing various sources such as industry contacts, market research, networking events, and targeted outreach.
- Understand the business needs and pain points of prospective clients to effectively position SymphonyAI’s solutions and services.
- Develop custom demo sequences and demonstrate solutions to clients in a live environment.
- Leverage Sales Enablement Technology, including CRM and Marketing tools, to effectively and efficiently communicate to large groups of prospects.
- Create reusable solution assets and formalized presentation materials (propositions/ use cases), working closely with Product and CPG Engagement teams
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, ensuring consistent progress through the sales cycle.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
- Clearly and convincingly articulate product features and benefits along with value proposition to multiple levels within customer organizations and overcome any resistance from prospective clients
- Write and customize proposals and presentations that clearly communicate why the solution is right for specific clients based on their business needs
- Collaborate with internal teams, including solution architects, product managers, and implementation specialists, to ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular progress reports to sales leadership, highlighting key wins, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
- Contribute internally to our product roadmaps and standardized assets based on experience and client feedback
- Provide oversight of direct reports, managing workload, prioritizing and allocating resources as required
What You Need:
- 10+ years’ experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales, retail)
- Deep knowledge of data driven decision-making and leveraging customer insights, preferably in a CPG environment
- Track record of leading teams who consistently meet or over-achieve assigned objectives
- Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments
- Strong client relationship management skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal, written and public speaking skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple audiences and levels within both internal and external organizations
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Willing to roll up sleeves to “get the job done”
