We are united by a common goal – to reimagine the future of beauty.The Opportunity:POSITION SUMMARYManage and maximize business strategies for a district consisting of approximately 12-15 stores. The District Manager is accountable for recruiting and developing their management and store teams, ensuring maximum profitability and compliance with company objectives and policies while focusing on the improvement of the client’s experience.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies to maximize sales potential by accurately forecasting sales, ensuring that the staffing plans are in alignment with the business trends, and adjusting payroll accordingly.
  • Create action plans to increase profit and control variable expenses by evaluating the P&L monthly.
  • Understand the competitive retail landscape within the District and create opportunities to address business challenges.
  • Provide recommendations to the Regional VP/Regional Director for existing and new growth opportunities.
  • Be innovative within the district and share best practices to impact the performance of the entire organization.
  • Ensure that stores maintain and follow standard operational procedures, loss prevention policies and human resource guidelines.
  • Conduct store visits with the Store Directors and Specialists to evaluate and identify business opportunities to improve sales growth, profitability and client service.
  • Establish relationships with key FSC partners to ensure that your District’s needs are met and sales and profitability are maximized.
  • Ensures a strong bench of candidates by networking, recruiting, interviewing and selecting all management level candidates.
  • Executes succession plans to build bench and support company growth.
  • Ensure that Store Directors, Specialists, and Cast Members are trained in product knowledge and all required company training modules.
  • Appraise and acknowledge performance by delivering annual performance appraisals and merit increases.
  • Train, coach, motivate and lead the teams to deliver outstanding client service standards.
  • Provide strategies and opportunities for retention by conducting monthly one-on-one conversations with Store Directors and creating individual development plans for their continued growth.
  • Manage with integrity and honesty to support the Sephora culture and demonstrate and embrace our Company Values when interacting with company personnel and all outside brands and vendors.
  • Partner with Human Resources to conduct climate surveys; assess, and resolve all employee relations issues.
  • Support and collaborate with District Trainer to create a cohesive education strategy that meets company objectives and is tailored to individual store requirements.
  • Be innovative within district and share best practices to impact the performance of the entire organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 – 5 years multi-store management experience in a highly complex, fast paced business environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and influential skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to lead and build top performing teams.
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Proven ability to create teams by attracting and identifying talented store leaders who can train and develop cast to drive sales and deliver outstanding client service.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Travel required 50-75%.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $155,000.00 – $165,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
