  • Support the instructional community in any teaching modality, including online, hybrid, and face-to-face in order to enhance the andragogy/pedagogy of any class by:
  • Researching and advocating for best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Reviewing courses during the design, development and delivery phases for sound instructional design practices; assisting faculty with the selection of instructional strategies, aligning course content with stated course outcomes, and ensuring course quality through the appropriate blend of pedagogy and technology based on learning theory and instructional design practices.
  • Creating, developing and integrating student-facing support materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, case studies, etc.) for instruction or lab experiences.
  • Developing appropriate assessment instruments and criteria.
  • Recommending instructional design and delivery changes and assist in implementing approved changes.
  • Analyze and evaluate new instructional tools and technologies, and recommend appropriate tools and approaches to improve course design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with director, staff of the CTL, and faculty fellows to develop and provide a robust, ongoing program of faculty development opportunities to support teaching, learning, and related college community activities.
  • Ensure that educational resources are accessible, updated and functioning properly.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  • Adhere to college, federal and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.
  • Perform other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design or Educational Technology
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in teaching, educational development, and/or course development
  • One (1) year or more of experience in LMS course development

Or, any combination of education and experience that results in possession of skills, knowledge and behaviors as outlined in the positions core competencies below.Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or similar field
